Once you have submitted your applications for exchange, these are processed based on selection criteria.
Places are allocated based on merit in the areas outlined.
Whether we are able to offer you your first choice depends on numerous factors including:
- the popularity of the institution you have chosen on that given year
- the number of places available there
- the suitability of the institution for your degree programme (i.e. whether there are restrictions there for your course
- how you have ranked alongside other students applying in that year
It is worth bearing in mind that international exchange is a competitive process and that we are unable to determine your likelihood of gaining a place at your proposed institution, due to the changeability of the factors affecting this.
If we are unable to offer you your first choice we will attempt to offer you another one of your choices or if this is not possible we will propose an institution within a region you have indicated interest in.
